Laura Jane Amanda White (born 31 August 1987) is an English singer/songwriter from Atherton in the metropolitan borough of Wigan, Greater Manchester.

On the 15/04/2015 Laura signed a record deal with Turn First Artists/ Universal Records who represent acts such as Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora and Connor Maynard.

White also wrote Rita Ora- Charles Hamilton track 'New York Raining' released UK May 2015. The track also featured on US TV Show Empire and the Soundtrack charted US Billboard Number One.

She is also known for finishing in eighth place on the fifth series of The X Factor in 2008.

The previous year (2007), White was a participant in the only series of the TV channel E4 show School of Performing Arts. White and seven other talented musicians (including Bluey Robinson, Bo Bruce) competed each week for a scholarship to a London Music College. The prize was eventually given to two other participants.
