Piano Sonata No. 6 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Summary

''Allegro''

#''Rondeau en polonaise (Rondo and Polonaise)''

#''Tema con variazione (Theme with variations)''

A typical performance takes about 20 to 25 minutes.

This Sonata is the last of the sonatas that Mozart published in Munich. The piece is subtitled "Dürnitz" as it was written for Baron von Dürnitz, an amateur bassoonist and keyboard-player, who failed to pay for the work. The work was written down during the visit Mozart paid to Munich for the production of ''La finta giardiniera'' from late 1774 to the beginning of the following March.
