Dwell on the Fillmore East is a posthumous dwell album by Jimi Hendrix launched on February 23, 1999. The album paperwork Hendrix’s performances with the Band of Gypsys on the Fillmore East on December 31, 1969 and January 1, 1970. It’s drawn from the identical performances as, and may be seen as an prolonged complement to, the album Band of Gypsys, consisting largely of songs not on the unique album.
Since its authentic launch, extra recordings from the Fillmore East performances have been issued on West Coast Seattle Boy: The Jimi Hendrix Anthology (2010), Machine Gun: The Fillmore East First Present (2013), and Songs for Groovy Kids: The Fillmore East Concert events (2019).
