In a profession that spanned virtually 5 a long time, Money was the personification of nation music to many individuals world wide. Money was a musician who was not outlined by a single style. His contributions to the style have been acknowledged by the Rockabilly Corridor of Fame.[172] Money obtained the Kennedy Middle Honors in 1996 and acknowledged that his induction into the Nation Music Corridor of Fame in 1980 was his biggest skilled achievement. In 2001, he was awarded the Nationwide Medal of Arts.[173] “Harm” was nominated for six VMAs on the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards. The one VMA the video gained was that for Greatest Cinematography. With the video, Johnny Money turned the oldest artist ever nominated for an MTV Video Music Award.[174] Justin Timberlake, who gained Greatest Video that 12 months for “Cry Me a River”, mentioned in his acceptance speech: “This can be a travesty! I demand a recount. My grandfather raised me on Johnny Money, and I feel he deserves this greater than any of us in right here tonight.”[175]
